Project Background
The City of Dixon was seeking a solution to regular watermain breaks that was quick, less disruptive for the community, and cost effective. After considering open-cut replacement, the city ultimately decided to use CIPP to complete a 3,066-ft. project along the busy road of Galena Ave.
Overview
To ensure as little disruption as possible, the project was completed in phases. The first phase starting in June of 2022 involvedconnecting homeowners to bypass water. Then excavation began, followed by cleaning, CCTV, lining, internal service reinstatement,pressure testing, and finally chlorination. The project wrapped up on time and within budget on (add date)
Overall the project ran smoothly, the only challenge faced was ensuring proper water supply was provided to a nearby car wash. Larger bypass was established and the business was not impacted.
